Disklock provides three levels of access security. Each level adds an additional layer of protection. The first level offers basic password protection against unauthorized entry to your system. The second level offered selective locking, which allows you to secure individual files and/or folders, so only you can access them, even in a shared environment. Finally, DiskLock is equipped with two types of encryption, including DES, to protect particularly sensitive or confidential data.
Hassle-Free Protection
DiskLock automatic operation means you don╒t have to think constantly about data security. Once installed, the program operates behind the scenes, automatically locking your disk at shutdown, upon restart, or optionally upon a system crash. You may even forget it╒s there until it prompts you for your password. Better yet, at shutdown, DiskLock also remembers to re-lock any files and folders you unlock during the day. It╒s that automatic - and that easy.
Multi-Level Security
Multiple levels of security let you completely control access to your confidential data. Lock disks, folders or files. for increased flexibility, each disk can be locked with two passwords; the User password and the Master Password. for heightened security, use DiskLock╒s triple threat; lock a file with one password, lock a folder containing the filed with a second, and lock your hard disk with a third! Additionally, the FolderLock feature lets you single files or folders, without locking your entire had disk.
Idle-Time Locking
Should you wander from your desk, you can rest assured your data is protected. After a certain period of idle time (from 1 to 999 minutes - you decided), DiskLock will blank your screen and secure your Macintosh without interrupting any background activity that my be occurring. When you return just hit any kit or click the mouse, type in your password, and get back to work!
Stringent file Locking
DiskLock lets you choose how to lock your files and folders by providing you with three locking methods. Use FastLock, which does not encrypt but rather patches the operating system to prevent anything from accessing the locked file, for fast locking of confidential files. Choose either SpeedCrypt (our proprietary encryption technology) or DES (the US government encryption standard) for especially sensitive data.

The DiskLock Site License tools was developed just for you!. The site License Tool provides you with the ability to perform certain functions to customize the DiskLock program before distributing it to your end users. Use the Site License Tool to install a global Master password, to install one common company name, to set a required minimum password length, and to set a password expiration date.

BOOT PROTECTION
DiskLock's constant vigilance prevents booting from a floppy disk as a method to gain entry to your hard disk, The intruder must still enter the password for the hard disk to have access to it. Booting from a floppy will not bypass DiskLock╒s security.
THREE LEVELS OF FILE/FOLDER LOCKING
For complete flexibility, Disklock gives you three options for locking files or folders. FastLock gives you a locking speed that╒s extremely fast, even on very large files. FastLock does not encrypt files and is a great choice for confidential files. SpeedCrypt is DiskLock╒s fast, yet exacting, proprietary encryption technology - a great choice for classified files. DiskLock also includes the slower, yet exceptionally stringent, DES encryption algorithm, DES utilizes a maximum security US government standard for encryption and is a good choice to ensure the absolute security of high-risk files.
LOCKS WHEN IDLE
Even if you must lease your Macintosh in the middle of completing a confidential assignment, your data will be safeguarded with DiskLock's Lock When Idle feature. After a certain period of keyboard or mouse inactivity (from 1 to 999 minutes), DiskLock will blank your screen and secure your system without interrupting anything occurring in the background (like printing). during Lock When Idle, your Macintosh displays its internal screen saver - a roving padlock. However, you can choose to have DiskLock display other screen savers (Like Pyro!) in installed.
ON-DEMAND LOCKING
Gain instant protection against prying eyes and unauthorized intruders from within any application with DiskLock╒s Lock Now feature. Just choose the DiskLock DA from the menu and click the Lock Now button. DiskLock will immediately lock your Macintosh.
AUDIT TRAIL
DiskLock logs all system usage, including illegal attempts. DiskLock also alerts the legitimated user about unsuccessful attempts (date and time) the next time the correct password in entered.
